About Us
Cycling in Bendigo welcomes male and female riders in age groups from under 11 to veterans. The club's activities supported by its many volunteers provide the grounding for rider's development into the higher levels of the sport. Bendigo's Tom Flood Sports Centre, its excellent regional roads and weather provide a positive environment for cyclists to develop and enjoy their interest.
The Bendigo and District Cycling Club since it's formation in 1921 has produced winners and Australian representatives in World, Australian and State Titles, Olympic and Commonwealth Games and many winners of Classic races in Road, State, and Mountain Bike racing.
The Club Road Tour is an example of top racing available to club riders whilst Bendigo's Madison is a world renowned event.
A history of cycling in Bendigo is currently being written and should be available later in 2005.
