What is Scouting? |
Scouts Australia is a multicultural, non-political and non-denominational, uniformed youth organisation. Young people (boys and girls) can join at any age between 6 years and 26 years. Young people in Scouts enjoy an exciting program aimed to assist them with their physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual growth.
Scouting's unique and proven
methods include:
Leadership skills |
Self reliance |
Initiative |
Community awareness |
Personal responsibility |
Environmental consciousness |
All activities are under the supervision of professionally trained adults who care about the positive development of young people and their role in Australia's future. The Scout Association is committed to the protection of children and was the first youth organisation to have a policy requiring that all adult Leaders undergo a Police check and clearance prior to being accepted as a Leader in Scouting.
